Security and justice for Tigrayans Canada (SJT), a non-profit and non-political advocacy group based in Canada, is writing to bring to your attention the dire situation the people of Tigray find themselves in, and to implore you to take urgent action to save countless lives.
Having completely obliterated Tigray’s economic, healthcare, and educational infrastructure, massacred thousands of civilians, the Ethiopian government then denied the people of Tigray access to their money, food, water, medicine, electricity, internet and phone communications since the war broke out in November 2020 in a deliberate attempt to starve them to death and exterminate the people. In fact, Ethiopian Government Officials made no effort to hide their intention to conduct a campaign of extermination and spoke about it publicly on numerous occasions.
